Caden is new to town, and doesn't know anyone. Does your character want to show him around, ask him out, get together to play some basketball, etc? Do they recognize him as the author of one of their favorite books?

Caden is a fairly easygoing and friendly guy that's open for pretty much anything. He likes making friends and meeting new people, is a bit of a foodie, loves to surf, and blushes when people flirt with him.

He sounds similar in character to Luke a bit, so I'd definitely like something as basketball buddies turning into real friends or something.

Sounds good! Caden is pretty athletic and wouldn't have any trouble walking up to Luke and asking if he was interested in some one on one if he saw him alone on the court.

(And maybe subtly check him out but hey can you blame him?)

Corry and Caden definitely need to meet sometime. For one, according to the map, they're neighbors. But regardless, I have no doubt Corry would love to know that there's a famous writer in town. A fellow artist who likely understands the demands of fame and celebrity etc.

More importantly, if his book has been optioned by a studio, she's likely very in the know about it - not necessarily in a predatory way so much as she is passionate about the industry and the craft. Whether Caden is interested or not, she'll likely see him as a potential collaborator - and for Corry, finding someone with acclaim and talent to work with is an utmost priority at this point in her career.

On the other hand, there's the Les/April connection, so there's that too...

Yeah, that sounds great! Caden would like to have someone who knows what it's like to be in the industry, though Corry is on a much higher and more visible level than he is. Though his star is rising, because he's topping the NYT best seller's list and is appearing on daytime and late night talk shows. He'll be feeling the pressure, so it'll be nice for him to have someone who knows what it's like.

He'd love to have someone to be creative with! And I think I am going to have a small subplot where the big studio film based on his book will get greenlit, so Corry would be fun to have around for that. Maybe it they bro it up enough, she can go on a set visit with him~

I'm super down to do something with them after the blackout. Les could have told her he met Caden and she finds out about him living in SC that way and comes overto say hi? Or they could just meet on the street? Or! Caden is doing a book signing at Crossroads on 11/2. So there's options! Just let me know what you'd like to do and we'll make it happen!

This sounds fantastic! I'm going to tag her into his signing - what would the name of his book be that's been optioned by the studio? Any quick synopsis as to what it's about? :) Corry will be well-versed before she meets him

Let's go with it being called Harbinger, and it's about a girl who becomes the main suspect in a string of murders because she's been found at each of the crime scenes. Turns out she's a banshee and has to figure out how to control her newfound powers and also catch the real murderer to clear her name.

Something like that, but interesting! :P

Yes! Absolutely. Though The Cove is pretty vile towards Corry, so if they right about her being there, they'd probably imply she was trying to seduce a role out of his next movie or mooch off his publicity or something along those lines
